Dark

My nerves shook as I held the hammer above my head striking it once, twice, three times wasn't enough.
Engulfed by the power I had released I stood to the corner of the door numb, dumb and blinded by the darkness in me...my eyes were wide open palm laid firmly to the wall.
As I count backwards from a hundred small lights shone to wake me. As I approached ten I saw blurry images at my feet covered in red...three...
He was still as a post in the rain oozing blood, I felt a trickle on my little finger I didn't stop to look as I made my way crushing a rib or two.
I sat in the river as the water swept over me images not clear but rapidly flashes through me. He was my anchor and I was his ship...free at last was my rejoice.
