A Typical Friday Night
A typical Friday night,
Sitting in my room,
Listening to my parents fight.
I start to get tired,
So I slip into bed,
And turn off the light.
I toss and turn,
I can't sleep
Knowing my mother is trying to protect me.
I hear a vase break,
I heard feet stomp so loud,
It makes the ground shake.
My father is crying,
I can hear him so loud.
My mother wants me to pick a side,
Is that even allowed?
Sitting in my room,
Listening to my parents fight.
I start to get tired,
So I slip into bed,
And turn off the light.
I toss and turn,
I can't sleep
Knowing my mother is trying to protect me.
I hear a vase break,
I heard feet stomp so loud,
It makes the ground shake.
My father is crying,
I can hear him so loud.
My mother wants me to pick a side,
Is that even allowed?
