Is There Truth In This Myth?

Is there truth in this myth?
I challenge myself to look deep.
To delve in to the old photo album
that I haven't looked at in years.
I didn't feel attractive then,
I don't feel attractive now.
How will I react in 20 years time?
How will I look back at photo's of myself today?.

Maybe I look in the mirror
at my present self
and smile as if I
looked at somebody I cared about.

The lines around my eyes
tell the world how I smile
Look closely,
for they tell the story of my life,
and maybe you will see
my face light up
once again when I smile.

I now realize
the person who lights up a room
isn't the one who is
physically beautiful
but the one who's inner light
resonates to the lives around them.

There is much truth in this myth.
