WENDIGO : MODUS OPERANDI
Calm downpour
One could filter it out
And erase the skyline
If only to be parched for it
Though strange it be
With the sun below me
Yet the rain
Still falls sideways
A storm approaches
In the night, it encroaches
Look inside and find no trace
You are akin to this place
Drapery on the wall
The only witness
A small token I'd gift
Crystal orbs, panicked
And they suddenly drift
Upon the space between objects
Spilt the tress
A tear of the dress
Snuffing your affliction
The lust for the wicked
And you gaze upward
To silently war
With the labyrinthine
Sorrow in my eyes show
A colour you knew so well
By the lines across your throat
In that tension you felt
You had struggled, but fell
Some paradigm of sleep
All but halcyon
Ever slowing
Until the threshold, seen
But hope is the key
Wreathed silhouette
White feathers fall
Into the Autumn black
A lasting impression
And you're left alone
Masking cries with laughter
But you're not at home
It's no longer a matter
For it is you to blame
You in your solitude
Would ask no solicitude
Yet they're baying the same
And to hearken is pain
As they choke on a name
While you choke on the flames
Then, you watched me
Yet again
Feign compassion
And all the anger unleashed
But a butterfly in the wind
Forever a goodbye to you
Purgatory was perdition
I bled for the last time
A rose for this victim
