Dear Gerald
Dear Gerald,
I know you were once my love,
I know that at the time I just wasn't enough,
No,
You wanted the big screens and the fans.
You wanted to be Hollywood's most successful man,
And the bitter irony is that you fell flat,
Got kicked out before you even reached the doormat,
The one thing you would have been guaranteed,
Was little ole' Jessica, little ole' me,
Who died in the end you know,
But that was a lifetime ago,
So I really no longer mind,
Sincerely,
The girl you left behind
I know you were once my love,

You wanted to be Hollywood's most successful man,
And the bitter irony is that you fell flat,
Got kicked out before you even reached the doormat,
The one thing you would have been guaranteed,

But that was a lifetime ago,
So I really no longer mind,
Sincerely,
The girl you left behind
