Windy Is The Sun No More
Windy is the sun no more
the waiting game is over and
I am perplexed as to how it all started…
she describes me as
illiterate, a fair enough excuse
for lying to project onto me, but
I am no-one but the moon with my
changing seasons and strong tidal
powers. Wrought over eons to be,
how can I not be now?
Windy is the sun no more -
when the flares of fire
have ceased their cosmic journeying
better to accept the waters of
change, than to keep company
with a dying fire.

Oh snap! Fantastic perspective and metaphor.
Reminds me of the biblical verse about it better to live on the rooftop than in the house with a brawling woman. We should not be expected to change for anyone.

Thank you Ahavati; and for the RL. I'd forgotten that one from the Bible (with which I am usually pretty familiar due to my history) - nice reminder. I feel vindicated (poem relates to a long time ago).

Thank you again Jemac. We all have our histories with their sometimes tortuous learning-curves.

Purpleheart, what a GREAT suggestion; I've no idea why it never crossed my mind, - so obvious now. That's what I love about DUP - differing perspectives and frameworks of interpretation lifting new life to the foreground. Thank you ever so much.
