Home Alone
Tiny kicks growing more aggressive every day
Have been my only company most weeks
Staring blankly into the floating pollen dust
The sun shines but it gives me no light
Only tiny glimmers in windows
Of a stone heart
You've been the fire in my hearth
A warm place to rest my head
The life growing inside me
Is becoming the only thing keeping me sane
When you're gone
A traveling man is hard to love
But impossible to walk away from
When my heart is packed up in his suitcase
And he takes it wherever he goes
Have been my only company most weeks
Staring blankly into the floating pollen dust
The sun shines but it gives me no light
Only tiny glimmers in windows
Of a stone heart
You've been the fire in my hearth
A warm place to rest my head
The life growing inside me
Is becoming the only thing keeping me sane
When you're gone
A traveling man is hard to love
But impossible to walk away from
When my heart is packed up in his suitcase
And he takes it wherever he goes
