Stormy Weather
There was a storm coming
I could feel it
In the very bones of me
The lowness of my mood
Lower than ever
My mind now fogged
Billowing dark clouds
Unable to see straight
I was losing my grip
Reality was fading
Self harm becoming appealing
Almost at the bottom
Of a whiskey bottle
She smiled at me
A smile just for me
Such a haze of warmth
A glint in the eyes
A beautiful face
She was there for me
She gave me help
She saved me from
Upcoming dark clouds
From future storms
All wrapped up in a
Beautiful smile
I stared down the barrel
I stared at the bottle of pills
I stared at the open razor
I stared at the rope noose
But each time, I saw
The smile of the weather girl
And each time it was enough
I knew if I kept watching
Things would improve
Sunny weather was coming
Despite living in Scotland
It was the smile of the weather girl
That saved me
