Capricious Spring

Capricious spring bright sun chill breeze
daffodils fade in  woodlands, yet others thrive,
Trumpet clarion calls beside pond and birch
Dandelions defiant with yellow crowns,
pale blue butterfly seeking nectar before
its flowers  fade,as do the daffodils
providing clocks and bitter leaves for salad.
I do not know the pale blue butterfly,
next time I must ask its name ,write it down,
say hello next year should we meet.
