HIRUDINEANS

Dissonance between
Footsteps and the breeze
The fire and the freeze

An artificial sun
The blindness has begun
The light to overcome

Buzzing by the riverbed
The tension that is fed
To hirudineans, bled

Weight of thoughts like chain to gird
In July did I find the words
For December hurt

These eyes, they do avert
To nothing, the pain reverts
And the salt that never froze
Above the dirt

I fade into familiar arms
Soon from out the Summer's heart
Find myself back to the start
