R.I.P. Ginger

Words will never express
the love of my 16 year old pointer mix
or the sorrow I feel at her passing
She never cried
with the exception of her last day
this past Sunday
My wife and I looked at each other
and we knew we had to end her pain
We had the vet come to us
She was under sedation we gave her
until he could come later that evening
We vowed she would pass at home
instead of having to take her to an animal hospital
She never felt a thing
My beautiful girl
Tears rolling from eyes as I write this
Goodbye my champion
You're at peace now
I'm heartbroken and will be for some time
Words can't express
the love and sadness
or the joy
We laughed everyday
Honored by her grace
