Ice Queen

Music pounding in my ears,
I look up at him.
Hair wild as his music,
Clothes grungy but clean.
I have known him for several monthes now.
In the spring we planted flowers,
that reached across the alley between our windows.
We curled up together in his bed watching movies,
we ate soup together when we had the flu.
Now I stare up at him in my fuzzy pink hat and my pink mittens trying to stay warm.
I see her moving through the crowd,
her features like ice.
I know she is a queen,
The queen of pain,
Destruction,
Ice!
I see it in her eyes as she watches him,
He stares at her with a hunger that i could only yearn for.
I watch them leave,
I know they will never return.
She takes him away from me,
she takes him to her palace.
monthes go by and no one seem's to notice
the peice of ice stuck in his heart.
the music is different,
his skin is cold.
He cannot see me anymore.
I tell myself to forget him,
I tell myself not to care.
I miss him,
Going to her lair is a mistake.
He is laying on the foot of her bed naked and freezing,
a palace of ice and snow.
He is almost frozen solid,
She leers at me.
Take him I no longer need him.
I hear her say as I struggle to warm his cold flesh.
I pray it isn't too late,
maybe he will be alright.
time passes his songs return to the young woman he loves.
maybe now she will keep him,
Maybe now he will stay.
A new girl moves trhough the crowd,
Beautiful, Cold, Dark,
Her name is death.
he ignores this one and goes to me,
He knows that he really loved me and always will.
