Black White and Blue
He saw the world as grey
black and sometimes white
but not a touch of colour
no green or pink in sight.
Not a peek of yellow
nor orange or any red
so he lived a silent life
with no colours to be said.
But when he stood above the world
long grown sick of black and white
he saw a colour in the sky
mixed with the moon and twinkling light.
So he reached and stepped into the dark
looking for something true
and as he fell his hand curled around
a tragic shade of blue.
