Not You....
I took the yin/yang
And I tattooed it on my heart
There I placed it as a reminder of what we were
Memories slowly fade
I try to grasp silhouettes of you
But it’s just a figment of my imagination
It’s not the reflection of you
You are not who I made you out to be
So I find my self
Looking for the idealized you
I don’t dwell in the realm of reality
For it leaves disappointments
But then they would say
I build myself up for the disappointment
By living in an idealized world
Perhaps that is true
But I choose the latter
For the moments of bliss it brings
Brings peace I can’t explain
So why would I not want it
I’ll take it
Not you
