Thriving - -- - for the Society in ruin Comp
There are those who have truly given up
There are those who think they have given up
There are those who are pretending they have given up
The second and third above are just lying
And join the rest of us struggling every day
Most human beings belong to the “Thriving”
And they thrive to survive at all cost
Even if it means putting down another
if push comes to shove, and it usually does
we will rat out the Jews hiding in the cellar
we will point the finger, when in the wrong
we will mob rule and hang the innocent
we will succumb allowing the missiles to fly
we allow the death of millions because they are brown
through starvation, war and dirty water
as long as we can survive and thrive
bottom line we couldn’t care less
crocodile tears for a charity commercial
send off some rusty guilt easing pennies
yet still the death toll terminally increases
Our new religion: Rather you than me
Our new religion: Charity begins at home
Our new religion: Just turn a blind eye
Our new religion: Fuck You!
It even breaks down on a local level
Screw my neighbour and his noisy dog
Screw my neighbour and his noisy kids
Screw my neighbour, he’s Brown
Only those who truly don’t care are exempt
Hospice workers, thrive on the dying
Politicians thrive on the lying
Bullies thrive on the crying
Psychologist thrive on the sighing
Lawyers thrive on the denying
Government thrives on the complying
Terrorists thrive on the terrifying
Most thrive on self gratifying
All of us thrive on falsifying,
Care implying, low lying,
Pacifying, self denying
Surviving and thriving
Without really trying
I am so not like you
I belong to a small special group
Of people who really don’t care
Nothing is worth fighting for
We clearly don’t give a fuck
We care for nobody
We clamour for nobody
We follow nobody
We love nobody
We hate nobody
The death of us
Or the death of humanity
Will be a blessed release
We are not tethered
We have no vested interest
In humanity’s outcome
Humanity is lost
And those who truly don’t care
Like me, just laugh

This is western culture, down and out ... but what about the millions of individual acts of human kindness everyday that the news-propaganda-feed never reports? (possible remedy - read "Positive News")

thank you for your comments - I am glad you can be so positive but what you say does not relate to my experience where small acts of human kindness are extremely rare and being disabled and at the sharp point of a lack of Kindness this write reflects Scotland currently within my view and experience :-)
