TO LET YOU GO

You were the sunshine in my life that shined brightly on
me,
You lighted up my life and it glittered the whole day
And you gave me hope and an inspiration to go on my
way.
You gave me reasons to fulfill each day,
With joy and happiness that gleamed wondrously
And to glorify our life that we had everyday.
You and I were like the sun and the moon,
You gave me light of hope and strength to survive
And I gave you mine when you kept your own light at night.
We shared our life together in one universe,
But how can I go on sharing my own life when one day,
You refused to shine and ask me to let you go and keep
your light forever.
