So i have this new aquaintance

So i have this new aquaintance
She is called diabetes two
She makes me feel soothed, numbed out and stress bounces off of me
 
I can live in a semi comatose slurred world
Floating along at 700 mg/dl of blood glucose
 
It is slightly hypnotic  
It has a few side effects,
Infections take advantage of little cuts
 
My feet lose their sense of touch
I dont know when i've stepped on A thorn
So it gets infected
Mu leg swells up and turns purple
The doctors have to get me on antibiotics
But 😯 it is a little late
It has to come off.
 
My brain recently has deteriorated
A freindly cup of coffee no longer brings cheer
just disorientation
My voice talks in a slur
My mouth drys out at any incedence of stress, you see the response to stress is the body produces a burst of adrenaline
Which releases a burst of sugar into the blood  
but i am already sugar soaked
Like aunt jemima pancake syrup
 
So i could never stick to my meds, metformin and glipizide
And i could never stick to diet and excercise
 
So when i took my wife to the doctor,
Instead of going back to
Work, leaving her to take a bus home
I stayed to give her a ride
 
She got her doctor to look at my toes
Blisters that had not healed after six months
The doctor said, "Oh mr Rabbit"
She had some samples of these fairly new week long lasting shots
 
They did the trick
I am better now
 
These shots are different than the old drugs
Because they tickle the sleeping pancreas
Awake
An awakened pancreas actively functions,
Releasing insulin if sugar is high
Other drugs did not know about awakening the pancreas.

Glipizide worked by kind of like pricking pancreas cells
to make the insulin leak out.
