Hi Ahavati, thank you again for commenting; I hadn't seen it in a fairytale light. 'St George killing the evil dragon' is a thing of western culture. In eastern culture they become dragons of wisdom if you can sit with them unafraid. This is a theme in Michael Ende's book "Jim Knopf und Lukas der Locomotiv-führer"; there is a poor translation of the book into English under the title Jeremy Button and Lukas the engine-driver. Michael Ende also wrote 'The Neverending Story' and 'Momo'. In his time (post-war) Michael Ende was about as famous in Germany as JKRowling in the U.K. He was married to a Japanese so maybe that's where he picked up this other (eastern) approach to dragons.

Perhaps beautiful thoughts in themselves have their own truth. I think facts can be either write or wrong but truths are of a different order and are not subject to this right/wrong division; they can co-exist even when they seem to contradict each other. (I think I'm just blabbering out loud here)
