President OBama
Entered in the "fu*k OBama" competition"
The finest President America has had since Abraham Lincoln
Facing down the stinking racist pigs who deny his birthright
Winning his place in history with the righteous rather than the alt-right
The same fucking stupid fools who elected a Russian Czar to take over our nation
We will win it back and shove the truth down your stinking throats
America will be free again and the lies that Trump spews will take his slaves
Into the pit of Hell on his way back home to suck on Lucifer's sweaty meat
Trump is already the worst piece of shit to ever hold his own dick in his hand!

I'm certain the racist pigs will want to respond, just be sure your critique is "critique" as this is not an open forum for debate but a space for honest critique!

Strange how times change JJ, Lincoln to the best of my knowledge was a Republican wasn't he?
Re your request for critique, as of now I have none as I am not a poet and I believe this is your exercise in poetry which you have every right to express as the person with views totally opposite to yours.

This should not be under the heading "Honest critique" - In my view you can't ask for honest critique and then restrict what your critiquer might want to say. Critique is not just about line length, grammar, rhyming scheme, etc;
it is also about content. I would suggest that this poem maybe should be seeking no comment.
This comes from somebody who disagrees with much in this poem and yet is neither a racist or a pig, or a fucking stupid fool, nor do I fancy sucking on Lucifer's sweaty meat - needless to say Intolerance breeds Intolerance

What I am not looking for is a political diatribe from hate spewing racists who disagree with the opinions I write. That has nothing to do with critiquing a poem. Debates belong in the forums, not in the comments sections on poems, at least not mine, that's why I restrict it to honest critique. Opposing opinions are not critique. Yes, intolerance breeds intolerance. Hatred has made me hate. I'm filled with absolute contempt for those who are racists, and whatever other "ists" describe haters of people of other sexes or religions or whatever people decide to hate because they're different. Yes, I hate too. It makes me sick that I get driven to hate by hatred, so I am no better than the haters. I don't need other haters to point out my hypocrisy, I am acutely aware of what I am. I'll e down their with all the other hater sucking Satan's meat for my lack of faith or maybe because I blame God for designing our genetic code with hatred at its core. He made me what I am and then he condemns me for achieving his perfection. My debate is with God, not with other people who have no choice but to be what God made them.

I think short of falling out, we will have to agree to disagree. What you are suggesting is shutting down debate on creativity because you have strong views about others. I am suggesting that if you want to do that then do not seek comment. It only need apply to the hate you admittedly espouse. "Opposing opinions are not critique?????" So you only want those who agree with you to comment - that's dishonest not honest. nobody gets driven to hate, we all choose our path, I do not believe that god plays any part in it. People hate because they choose to hate. The section "Honest Critique." is to stimulate comment from all whether they agree with you or not it is exactly for debate on the style and content of the piece. I won't comment further or you can delete my comments, but you have to understand if people here ask for an honest critique then I am gonna throw up comments about style and comment

Re: Re. President OBama
I'm not asking for supporting comments by people who agree with me. And I'm not banning negative critique of this post. I'm just saying that if people want to have a political, moral or divisive debate, start a forum discussion. That's why we have forums. I did believe in the past, that hatred was a choice, but I have been convinced by a number of scientific studies that have come out in the past few years which demonstrate that hate is genetic in humans and other life forms all the way down the chain to single celled organisms that don't even have brains. I always thought we were taught to hate. But it is the other way around. We must be taught not to hate. But parents and society embrace and nurture the hatred that naturally occurs within us.

Again I find myself disagreeing with you on the subject of hate and I am sure we could have a lengthy debate on the subject, but what would be the point. There is an option when submitting a poem of "Friendly critique," This sends a message to the reader that the writer is sensitive about the content and they are not seeking negative or harsh comments. I have used the heading several times and it works. I would suggest to you that maybe hate poem should be submitted under that heading or the no comment heading. I write many poems that could be considered offensive, when I mark them for honest critique I expect push-back on the content as well as the poems creative merit, this is the world we live in :-)

I totally understand David. I deliberately chose hone critique and I am aware and have used the friendly feedback option several times in the past. People here on dup are poets, creative thinkers. Perhaps what those should do who disagree is write their own poem expressing their opinions. I just feel that my pages are not the place for a debate, my pages are where I express mine. But critique is a different thing from partisan political opinions. I think everyone here is intelligent and understands the difference. Write a poem, start a forum thread, these are better options than the comments thread on my poems where only 30 or 40 people are going to see it... I enjoy getting under the skin of haters, I'm a wanna-be mosquito... let your fly swatter be your verse! JJ
