Shattered Glass
Afraid of my balance
Yet walking alone
Searching, seeking
To find a footpath home
Lost amongst my thoughts
Unable to find a way
Regarding a future
Avoiding decay
Crying inaudibly in secret
Exterior feigning strong
No allowing other’s vision
Watching everything as wrong
Rising above myself
Evident upon me
Others pass judgement
My mirror they do not see
Vivid, they do not understand
My eyes they cannot pass
Observing an external me
As fields of shattered glass
Yet walking alone

Only we know what is inside of us unless we become willing to be vulnerable and let others inside our walls. For me, sometimes that can be pure torture.
