Image for the poem E

E'er

poetic contraction meaning "ever"  -
in this meaning "forever, always"
pronounced
"air"

Sky, stunned with shocks of withered cloud
Moon, taring, shreds the wayward cusp.
Car, blare the hymns Monday contests.

Storm, clean the priestess’ altar grail.
Cants, lightning blind to archly crest.
Burn, pray'rs in cautioned tyger meet.

Sun, cast mystic arroyos veil.
Ford, clothed fiestas muerte white.
South, dawn bewares my highway heart.

God, twined the constell lovers’ thrall.
Stars, Sun, and Storm and Sky beyond.
E’er, poets' rain on moonlight come.
