Doors
the doors of our lives . . .
can be
multifaceted, complex, and sometimes
downright scuzzy
still, every so often we open a special one
which immediately makes us smile
a chance encounter
a special word
Happiness 'R Us
sometimes we find this new door
to be almost virginal
not having opened one in such a long time
and, having stepped inside
we are infused with a feeling of harmony
it surrounds us
broadens, even wider our smile
when we perchance find such a door
close our eyes and ears
to other worldly things
and silently close the door behind us

Jerry my friend...so many things can be encountered behind doors...in that you are correct and there would be nothing better than to be able to keep the one that brings such tranquility closed behind us...this I understand all too well. Excellent inspirational and thought provoking ink! Well done! I'm going to hold onto this one.
