What We Disturb

alone
on the face of the earth
where I stand
I create a void within the earth’s
environment
same as for all of you
I mean
when I move about
I disrupt
the space where I am
each step I take disturbs
millions upon millions of particles
which make up air
but behind me
where once I stood
nitrogen and oxygen which make up the air
replaces the void
I’d made
eh . . .
as I stroll around
wherever I may be I
upset air particles
no matter where I may roam
there is a give and take
of the environment
to be replaced as I wander on
amazing
when you sit down and
think about it
