The King of the End of the World
I was the king of the end of the world
And it went about the way you would think it would go
Looking through old memories;
Faded dreams and photographs of you
And I don't know where to go
From here.
So I'll leave them on your doorstep
And let the wind blow them away,
I'll leave them on the doorstep of our love
I wish I had a better sign
To raise up high
To ask you to be mine
But you're so far away
I would go to the end of the world to say
I wish that you would stay
Where would we go if we
Could ever run away
Together
Forever
Until the end of time?
I want you to be mine.

I was the king of the end of the world
Where worlds collide and starlight turned into snow
Pushing through cold fantasies;
Chilly daydreams crumbled into truth
And I don't know where to go
From here.
I would go to the end of the world to say
I wish that you would stay
Where would we go if we
Could ever run away
Together
Forever
Until the end of time?
I want you to be mine.
And it went about the way you would think it would go
Looking through old memories;
Faded dreams and photographs of you
And I don't know where to go
From here.
So I'll leave them on your doorstep
And let the wind blow them away,
I'll leave them on the doorstep of our love
I wish I had a better sign
To raise up high
To ask you to be mine
But you're so far away
I would go to the end of the world to say
I wish that you would stay
Where would we go if we
Could ever run away

Until the end of time?
