Make it stop!
She said with a teardrop...
Make it stop!
The teardrop dropped...
It hit the floor the same time his heart dropped,
Shattering with a nearly audible crash
His body began to thrash
But not wildly
It looked like he was merely shaking, emotionally
Distressed
When in reality he was dying
Dying inside
He gripped his chest
Stretched tight with the words he so desperately wanted to speak, but was forced to hide...

His lungs burst at the seams
Letting loose all the words he had kept hidden
Her face was ridden with a look of disbelief,
As another tear dropped
So too, did his heart stop
Stricken with the loss of his hope
In his grief
He withdrew the glistening black blade
That she had left in his back some time in the past
And flayed
His own breast
He had told her he would hand over his heart to be with her
And so, with his dying breath
He did, in hope of the afterlife that would be the best...
