whose is vengeance
Your eyes sparkle and drip
Mouth tightened at one corner
You search for a place to look
Where no one will judge you
No one will hold your gaze
No one will wonder if it's contagious
Or worse, just act like it is
And no one will treat you like a walking corpse
Because until six weeks ago
You were a beautiful vibrant woman
Not this cancer patient
But this bastard cancer..
How many rapists penetrate
Worm, force, invade their way in
and rather than do their deed and leave
set up residence and multiply
not just leaving their seed,
but leaving their empire
leaving their community
the hostile cock stuck in his victim
breakdown of mental, physical chemical
homeostasis
until either sleep or death ends its cycle
Someday cancer will be brought to justice
And I hope to live long enough to see it
executed by a cure.
