you look in the lens
     getting ready for a night
out on the fine town

while i sit at home and weep
could never be in your league.

you are so aware
     ego chooses paths they say
sexuality

i cannot afford to know
a sexy ego like you.

     before you go to party
and then you tell me

we aren't meant for each other
why do i even bother?

you say to my face
     that you aren't dating right now

then you make some lame excuse
your muscled hunk your refuge.

Inspiration from three places .... when a work crush invited me to her place one Friday night only to tell me she wasn't interested, my current crushes pics on Facebook, and the experiences of another poster on a forum I used to frequent.
