I once strived to become
More than I ever was
Outlawed by my nature
I am a different creature
Never could have saved it all
Now I'm hollow, so empty
Left with myself, my enemy
Don't wipe your tears on me
I am conceited in apathy
In apathy
I'll read the saddest story
In apathy
I'll watch the world burn down
Around me in apathy
I wish I could feel numb enough
To make me feel nothing at all
If I am the god of my world
Then it is a bleak place indeed
Lashing me with your tongue
Same old song that you've always sung
Cannot sate my hunger
You will never change this monster
And now I have to kill it all
All I know is a burden
Rusted screws of fate are turning
Place a fucking kiss on me
I am so rancid in apathy

Thank you, my brother. Sometimes under circumstances you just don't have a single fuck left to give. It sucks to be that way but it's good for your sanity. Sometimes you gotta throw up your hands and say "Fuck it."
