Necrophilia

He lay there so pale and ashen and still
creepy and capsular my pine box baby
within him a hollow where his heart had been
a noisome nocturia he came to me in a dream
the ripened romance was pungent perfection
the nectarous putrescence a smothered confection
anaerobic in its backlogged biophysical dissection
the aftereffect of which was discordant distention
I toasted his fermentation with somnambulent accord
and sipped a vintage concoction of unspoken words
my lips parted unable to speak as I imbibed
his essence like a prophylaxis noetic and starry-eyed
my necromantic notion was a neogenetic play
to awaken his longings that had faded with day
into an endless night so olfactory in its fray
my mind went to his neencephalic decay
like nematode crawling in a nauseant play
devouring this delicacy in a crepuscular way
the glutinous grotesquery left me hungry for air
my knight-errant incantations fell into despair
to a cruciform creation that carried no cares
this navicular creature in such helminthic flare
I couldn't bear to say goodbye to his mephitic stare
his namesake my thoughts that I couldn't repair
I needed to abandon this obstreperous plunge
into ill-use that left my remorseful ways expunged
a transmigrated cannibal of nefarious nebulosity
was all that I feigned in decrepit reciprocity
a catastasitic caveat to caliginous corroboration
was gelatinous and gentrified by my hallucination
a geniture of reveries to crush my cathartic calvarium
a lack of oxygen to suffocate my despondent delirium
holding my breath I abandoned the dirgent descent
emerging only to sink into maddened discontent
a discernable disillusionment was so pertinent a care
deracinated unto heavens unearthly despair
I clawed my way up through the soil so bare
waking only to find a lock of his hair...
