you do it with words
saddle um up
& ride them hard
your passion feeds me
stirs something deep inside
I'll eat the ash
of your verse
& spit fire
inhale the smoky flavor
that your straight up talk delivers
high on the nicotine poetics
staining the walls of my mind
you leave an indelible mark
pissing poetry
down our throats

the metaphor is spot on and should make all poets think about what they are writing and why - one of the most thought provoking poems I have read for a long, long while :-)
