Reflections on a Church Retreat (this is based solely on an experience of mine and i mean no disrespect to any religion)
To sleep and dream is a fear of mine,
So scared of what’s inside my head.
To live in hate is a fear of mine,
What happens when I lose control?
They say you’re at your weakest
When you find yourself alone.
So why is it I’m strongest without you?
To be restrained is a fear of mine’
When in a cage I go insane.
Belief and faith is a fear of mine;
They all have truth, but which is real?
I was told I needed it
To fix what’s wrong with me
Ironic cuz the druggies tell me the same.
So scared of what’s inside my head.
To live in hate is a fear of mine,
What happens when I lose control?
They say you’re at your weakest
When you find yourself alone.
So why is it I’m strongest without you?
To be restrained is a fear of mine’
When in a cage I go insane.
Belief and faith is a fear of mine;
They all have truth, but which is real?
I was told I needed it
To fix what’s wrong with me
Ironic cuz the druggies tell me the same.
