Conception
I started young
I stood alone
I had no family
I had no home
I had no eyes
I could not see
I had no lungs
I didn't breathe
I didn't think
I don't know why
I didn't feel
I never tried
Why would I ever change
If I knew no other ways
How would I ever know
If I forever, remained alone
I would have stayed in the dark
But I was a match
And you were the spark
I felt the flame
And I knew then
I would never go back again
Now I am spent
And you live on
I am ash, the flame is gone
But you should know
I would never trade
The day the spark
Changed my ways
I stood alone
I had no family
I had no home
I had no eyes
I could not see
I had no lungs
I didn't breathe
I didn't think
I don't know why
I didn't feel
I never tried
Why would I ever change
If I knew no other ways
How would I ever know
If I forever, remained alone
I would have stayed in the dark
But I was a match
And you were the spark
I felt the flame
And I knew then
I would never go back again
Now I am spent
And you live on
I am ash, the flame is gone
But you should know
I would never trade
The day the spark
Changed my ways
