Light Beam
I want to stomp on the breaks and put this traffic on pause
I want to unwrap from my body like some expired gauze
I want to become a beam of light and shoot straight up to God
I want to take a peak behind the curtain at the Wizard of Oz
Where there's no laws, or road blocks, or close calls, or bad odds
but is there really such a place with no flaws?
I don't know
I'm feeling high when I'm sober
moon landing like Apollo
my mouth is getting dry
and it's getting hard to swallow
I know I shouldn't spend my time
wallowing in sorrow
Ive been smoking on the daily and my lungs have turned to charcoal
The nights cold, I'm solo, emotions hitting notes like low keys on pianos
tomorrow I'll love ya
but tonight I'm hollow
I want to unwrap from my body like some expired gauze
I want to become a beam of light and shoot straight up to God
I want to take a peak behind the curtain at the Wizard of Oz
Where there's no laws, or road blocks, or close calls, or bad odds
but is there really such a place with no flaws?
I don't know
I'm feeling high when I'm sober
moon landing like Apollo
my mouth is getting dry
and it's getting hard to swallow
I know I shouldn't spend my time
wallowing in sorrow
Ive been smoking on the daily and my lungs have turned to charcoal
The nights cold, I'm solo, emotions hitting notes like low keys on pianos
tomorrow I'll love ya
but tonight I'm hollow
