The Mighty Sunflower
dandelion hurt
a wish is made
as I let out a deep sigh
that the pain
be carried far away
on a lonely breeze
*
*
*
not understanding
that the seeds
will take root elsewhere
in the hearts of others
in the minds of the gentle
*
*
*
so I wish again
that I would be like the mighty sunflower
face turned towards the sun
instead bare nourishing seeds
& feed the soul

This dropped like a seed into fertile soil, Brenda. You have the gift of compassion.

I love the image of you as a sunflower. You have a gentle way about you (even in your dark words) that seems always filled with sunshine. I have never seen you to be less than kind and sweet with others. Let that love and sweetness flow over you as well, my lady. Much love :)

this kind of serenity is found among the flowers;

Re: Re. The Mighty Sunflower
