BONEYARD

I'm way beyond
the insanity
of my madness

that sometimes . .

my nights last for days

I stand in this boneyard
lit by the glare of past despair

I'm veiled
in mist and haze
and never-ending days

visions

illuminate my brain
torrents flood my veins
my heart staccatos its rhythm

I'm aware . .

darkness has never been so clear

a tear  . . .  trickles

to taste the dust at my feet

my toes are dirty
there's muck under its nails
my heels are cracked
rooted to the earth

I see  beauty in this

bonded . .

grounded in the dirt . !

morphed futures yet untold

anagrams of my journey
conjures new meaning

I've travelled so far west
I'm east of where I started

undaunted by what I've seen
unscathed by its whisperings
and many temptations

I can die right now
just to live again

to remain unknown
even to myself

to tell my truth
without fear nor favour

we're all caught in this
never ending “Cluster Fuck”

dragging anchors in so deep
drawing breath
in the mud
of Boneyards
