What if the love of your life got married…to someone other than you
How would you feel after hearing the news, would it make you cry?
And every time you saw her would you wonder why…
Why she didn’t wait for you and why she chose him over you
When in reality she did exactly what she was supposed to
She picked up the pieces of her broken heart and moved on
With a man that showed her why she’d never again have to be alone
Did you really expect for her to wait?
For you both to miraculously reunite...dependent upon what? Fate?

She loved you enough to overlook all flaws
Until out of nowhere…you put your love and the relationship on pause

She struggled with what she could’ve done to deserve this
And you went on living life as if she didn't even exist
You’ve always made her feel as if loving another was a crime
Because you were in your feelings…wishing you could turn back the hands of time
She’s happy now….she has a new life, just let her go
You want her to give it all up…she says nothing, but you can look in her eyes and see that her answer is No
So just accept the fact that she’ll always love you….and yall will always be friends
She may never admit it, but you'll always hold a piece of her heart in the end
