Artistry
I am a witness
….to hands moving
effortlessly along the
length of
her ebony fretboard
delicate arabesques
being executed upon
black and white keys,
a well-tempered scale
as perfect as
the winds whispering.....
…..music realized
as fingers digitize
an elegant motif
played
all over
the body
electric
these are the illicit movements of our symphonie fantastique
and your voice's
diminutions,
a delicate mordant
or a brilliant ostinato
building strongly upon
this sensual fantasia
inside my head
it's melody tingles
all up and down my spine,
your warm breath
and scintillating words
stimulate my mind
can't you see
the seduction in your artistry,
pen upon parchment
or brilliant brushstrokes
upon a fine linen canvas,
the mixing
of earthen tones of ochre
into passionate hues......
…..they caress
until
a new horizon slowly
comes into view
the elevation of
a humanity lost
shone brightly
in the artistry
of you
