Days long past linger in the gloom of yesterdays.
trying to focus on what was and forget what will never be,
dredging a soul empty of answers,
nights obsessing why it has come to this,
like a shadow that grows in the dark
I teeter on the edge of the night
as shadows consume me in fright ....
