The Four Walls Served Me So Well

The four walls served me oh so well
sometimes containing a secret to tell
me inside on unsuspecting souls
"for whom does the bell toll"?

At times to add curiousity were sounds
normal conventions not my bounds
the dog's interest foiled my plan
always wanting in on my happy land

I like to think I go outside the box
write stealthily like a fox
but admit I don't ponder my words long
like a famous artist on to the next song
