Image for the poem Full Moon

Full Moon

walked outside the hovel
into the shine of a rich full moon
I stood there
allowing its shine
to engulf me absolutely
’ere I raised my eyes
up toward its magnificence
where it lay like a stone within my heart
for I love someone
who will never return to me
as it used to be
a spirited and self-assured love, she
the beautiful full moon
mocks me
relaying to me my blame
eh . . . and it is right
still, within my heart she shall
always remain
n’er to be pushed away
I visit her kisses
in the midnight hour
oh, imaginary is so delightful
still my nucleus remains unfulfilled
never shall I find
peace within
