The Dull-Eyed Night ( Quote from Tennyson )
The dull eyed night is far spent and morning comes
a distant glow behind hedgerow trees, a brighter eye
lighting day to fight away the gloom beyond. There
is time ,time enough for waiting, the crow and cock
have not stirred and will not until holly berries glow
as once, but yesterday, before the dull eyed night cast
a welcome gloom on sleepy eyes and memories, as
hopes inspire, before the dull eyed night.
spread his balm,to let us sleep and wake revived.
