we shall cross the line
We shall cross sensually tonight
The dividing line between black and white
That only exists in the minds of those
Who would treat the 'other' race as foes.
We are two soldiers in the war for love,
Our banner the olive branch and the dove.
We shall link up hands as through the wire fence
That would treat such loving as an offence.
