Afterlife
What lies beyond the light
Shrouded in infinite night
A shadow reminiscent
Of greatness or malevolence?
Is it a kiss in the wind
To be waited for?
Or a closed fist
To shatter ignorance?
Is there a greater existence
Beyond this repeating remembrance?
Something more than living memories
Soon to be lost in revery?
What importance does it make
For our own sake?
That the great abyss will swallow
And we will follow

This is the ultimate questions we as humans have pondered about ever since our existence. It's a question without a solid answer, and that scares many people. From a physic's point of view, as energy can only be altered, that could be view that there is a form of existence outside of our own realm, but we'll never know what it is until we die. Then there are the religions depicting various versions of "heaven", "hell" and "purgatory."
