They say black lives do matter

but where are their thoughts when our brothers blood splatters

in patches and blothches on the pavement

MLK, GHANDI, MALCOLM X

didnt mean this

so take a stand or divide our culture

bloods versus crips

we dont need their help, we are killing each other

they say a black man doesn't stand a chance

well if a black man wont stand hand in hand with his own

how can we expect them to help when we leave our own all alone.

And sisters...my sisters... we're no better either...black shaming each other, wishing we looked like another

Remi weave so we can hide our real hair,

why fix what God put on this earth to be here

foundation to change your skin tone,

sending the message that God got it wrong.

We want to change the world and get mad at what we created

It's only our fault...how can we hate it?

We want to tell our youth that they can be anything,

but then all we do is portray stereotypes on the tv screen

Lip smacking, hair pulling, and going the fuck off,

My Sisters, my brothers, we need to stop

As real as housewives are today, is a slap in the face to the way our ancestors paved

They were kings and queens that build a dynasty

lets follow in their foot steps..let us be free!

So for those who say its the man that keeps us down...

take one second and look around...

whose peddling on your block

what new song is hot

what famous person just ended up in D block

this is who we idolize

all the time we compromaize

the legacy that we have long since forgot

BLACK HISTORY....FORGET ME OR FORGET ME NOT
