Solstice Sunrise through a Tree
Seconds magnetize into sun
a spindly morning sacrosanct
toward the southern-most point
of a nautical twilight –
A primitive ritual awakens
stirring from consummation –
one moment of brilliant rite
over the Tropic of Capricorn
From here we surrender
to the evolution of change –
Love ourselves into Winter
believing it only gets better

Ahhh . . . "Love ourselves into Winter / knowing it only gets better"
Oh yes indeed it does get better . . . Spring ready to spring forth!

there they all were,
hanging around Stonehenge
this morning,
like that was gonna
keep the rain off...

i enjoyed the contemplation here; i learned to see the natural world in a more magical way only after i moved to the country and become a farmer.

Suddenly I feel warm although written in such few words.
But only a gift you have.
But in all honesty, I don't need the heat.
So I will savor the cold for as long as I can.

When faced with a lack of time for everything, I choose to respond to other's poems vs. the responses to my own in hopes that a meager "Like" under each of their comments will convey my deep appreciation and gratitude for the time another took to comment on mine.

Indeed. My friend, indeed. What are we other than riders on the same journey?
The more we share, the more light there is, and the more light there is, the more we see. I wish us all good Fates.
So it is;
Pursued by Time, our journey must go on. Good sharing.
Thanks for this ahavati

Ah--that's how I need to look at it: Love myself into winter. That way, spring will be much more sweeter when the weather gets warmer and I can throw open the windows and get the wind running through my home, again, so I can "hear" what it's saying.
