Open Breaths

When a woman shuts down on
a man, it demands us to reflect
and feel all the aches she’s
almost ever felt

she’d lost courage, to share
herself / until i came along,
with no intentions of insulting
her air

what’s ours is ours / in my
boyish sheath, i would have
taken it all for granted

like the way her sensibilities
straddles me tightly close /
as king, im learning to ritefully
earn her different kinds of her
galvanising warmth

It took one time for her to
tell me: “a woman can’t grow
under ignorant waters of man”

it took twice for her to tell
me: “a woman never likes to
be ignored or fucked over for
beauty outside of herself”

it took awhile to stand knee
deep with comprehension, to
get doses of what she meant

so we cultivate with open
breaths -
