Hope is Darkest Just Before Dawn

A wolf cloaked beneath a robbed hood calls out a breathtaking warning
Howling up at the full moon unleashed on his ravenous path
Towards the lonely North Star teasing his white ferine teeth
Daring him to take a cold carnal bite of sparkling starlight
Thirsting for celestial nectar that spills from the overturned dipper
His streaking comet arises above her horizon leaving a trail of stardust
His return anticipated after his full circle journey carries him lustily home
Though his glowing visit is brief his hot tail enlightens her long starry night
Until by sunrise she mourns his passing under a cloak of blinding insight
