Believing

If you look deeply enough into my eyes
You’ll see my soul there
And find that my words are true
And that I love you
You remain chained to your fears
Unable to clear a way to find love
And I am sad as I look at your struggle
And I beg you to believe

As we all have, but deeper it seems somehow
And the wounds are still close to your surface
