Dear Angel

As the night dies and the sun rises my dreams come to a close. Your body with mine so closely intertwined as the last rays of the moon reflect in your eyes. Tonight is like every night. When my eyes close and the darkness of sleep takes me you are there. But in the morning as the sun break over the horizon, and a new dawn comes. You are once more gone.

As a new night comes I look to the stars and wonder how much better off you really are. We could have been the rulers of our own little world hindered by naught except that which fate had in store. Alas we never got the chance to dance under the moonlight on cool summer night.

So here i,am again looking into your eyes wishing that for once when I wake this wouldn't all just feel like a mistake. Because seeing you brings me hope. That hope, while beautiful, darkens every chance I have to cope with the pain I feel every time I wake and your not really there. For pain is meant to help us learn from our mistakes and our trials.

Tonight dear Angel please leave me be. For without you now I just might get back to being me. The me you once loved went away with you. I have been born anew into this world with a much different point of view. So spread your wings wide and fly high up in the sky. Leave me be dear angel, because without you I can remember just who I am supposed to be.
