Why try to bring back pleasure,
Of the past, n'er again?
Never again hold that treasure,
Where for real or your pen.
Look ahead where the future lies,
Walk briskly to your chance;
And not to moan, neither to cry.
When you're there take your stance.
Ahhh, I've given up on the past,
I've made my bed to sleep,
I have no need the past to ask,
I've buried it all; deep.
